Ted Williamson, original founding partner of Williamson Design Associates (opened as Williamson Dacar Associates in 1994) , brings 38 years of experience and serves as the President of the firm. Ted is a leader in the design of public facilities that enhance the experience of the users and provide value to our clients. Ted’s unique background and degrees in architecture and structural engineering, ensures a strong integration of both disciplines in every project and is an advantage in WDA’s design approach and methodology. Ted has led the design of new and renovation projects for K-12, Higher Education, Library, Government and Religious clients throughout Florida for nearly four decades. Day to day, he oversees the operation of the firm and is responsible for the design process and delivery of goals for projects. Ted is also committed to serving his community and has been as a member of the Safety Harbor Rotary Club for over 20 years. Outside of the office, Ted can be found spending time with his family, skiing the slopes of Colorado, hitting the golf course, or traveling.

Tom Donaudy has over 35 years of experience in the design and construction field and is the Director of our South Florida Operations from the Boca Raton Office. His entire career has been focused on academic design; at Florida Atlantic University as the University Architect he managed a construction program in excess of $100 million dollars, annually. Tom has led several campus master planning projects as well as numerous additions/renovations for academic clients including K-12 and Higher Education. In the last five years while with WDA Tom has overseen the design and construction on Six Broward School District renovation projects with combined budgets in excess of 30 million. During that same period he was the Project Architect on the Parkland Library Children’s Wing addition, the 10,000 SF addition to the Temple Torah Ohr in Boca Raton and the Veterans Center for Palm Beach Community College. Tom has two grown children who attended Palm Beach County Public Schools. He enjoys golf, reading, sports and spending time with his wife of 40 years on long walks on local beaches and natural hiking areas.
George Tharin brings 36 years of experience and serves as the Senior Project Architect/Manager for Williamson Design Associates. George’s responsibilities include coordinating and managing team efforts, assisting in quality control and production of construction documents. He also oversees construction administration procedure and protocol for all projects. George’s expertise in Liturgical Design is evident in current and past projects for the Diocese of St. Petersburg as well as prominent churches throughout the region. George is an Alumni of Leadership Pasco. He enjoys playing golf with fellow colleagues and volunteers for many of his church and charity events.

Peter Thomson has provided a full range of architectural services to a wide variety of clients for more than five decades in South Florida, New York, and Washington, DC. He has served as a client representative for educational projects for the last ten years in his role as an Associate Director at an Florida Atlanitc Universitie’s (FAU) Harbor Branch campus and a Project Manager at the main campus. During his time with FAU, Peter was responsible for educational projects that ranged from simple summertime upgrades at FAU’s K-12 school to a new sixty-two million dollar educational and athletic facility. Peter also served as an “in-house” architect on smaller projects and provided turnkey services to the FAU user community.

Versed in traditional and digital marketing, Caitlin has worked in construction management, advertising, social media, security and access control, and telecommunications. At WDA, Caitlin’s duties include developing proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral, and general content development for various WDA initiatives. Caitlin has been in the AEC industry her entire life with parents in general contracting and construction management. It was no surprise that she should end up kicking off a career of her own in AEC as a public relations coordinator one month after graduating from the University of South Florida in 2012. Originally from Sarasota, Caitlin moved to St. Petersburg sight unseen in 2015. Since then, she has fallen in love with St. Pete’s historic brick roads, bright bungalows, and culture. When Caitlin isn’t working, you’ll probably find her at an outdoor concert, exploring the city, or visiting St. Pete’s parks.

Since that time she has also held leadership positions in a diverse range of industries including a Fortune 500 financial services company, electric utility and telecommunications firms, a publicly traded manufacturing and international sales company as well as owning her own businesses. She brings her talent and experience to WDA serving as our Director of Business Accounts, responsible for the financial and human resources aspects of the company. In her spare time, Anita loves to spend time with her large family, hike mountain trails, and tend a tiny herb and vegetable garden. She also volunteers, serving on non-profit and other boards and looks forward to traveling with her newly-retired husband.

Having worked for ten years at her family’s architectural firm in Memphis, TN before moving to Florida, Sally has a thorough understanding of the industry.
